Have you used your sick days to combat those ailing symptoms of dealing with a “pain in the neck coworker or a job you simply did not like”? Organizations at times have set us up for failure all under the guise of doing the right thing.
It’s not something many of us are proud of. Especially when we as the article, “Why So Many Employers Are Getting Rid of Sick Days” has suggested. One of the main points that grabbed my attentions is how employees lie to use them. Many times, as my company operates, has a policy of “use them or lose them”. So yes, many times often than not, people lie to use their sick days! I once worked with an employee who told me that he will “never” use his sick days for being sick! Ha! I’m sure he is not the only one with this motto.
So what say you now organizations? Will you make corrections to what’s called “sick days” or force your employees to lie to avoid a pain in the neck coworker or job?
